The storm system formed east of Bermuda on Wednesday, September 9 and the next day was upgraded from a Tropical Depression to a Tropical Storm.
The Met Office has also issued a yellow ‘be aware’ weather warning for today (Wednesday) and said up to 30mm of rain could fall in just a few hours.
It said: “Persistent and at times heavy rain is expected to spread from south to north during Wednesday, affecting much of England and Wales.
