Castleford Tigers have ended speculation about the future of Jake Webster by confirming that he has signed a one-year contract extension to stay with the club for the 2016 season.
Centre or back rower Webster initially signed for the Tigers back in 2013 and has gone on to make 48 appearances in his time with the club.
The former Kiwi international missed most of his first season with Castleford after suffering a serious knee injury that kept him out for the best part of a year, but after making a recovery he has gone on to be a popular member of the senior team and was in top form last season before another injury ended his campaign early.
Webster has spoken of his delight at staying put for at least another 12 years at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
He said: “I’m really happy to have signed for another year at Cas.
“The club and fans have been amazing during my team here.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back to pre-season and kicking off the 2016 season.”
