SOUTH Kirkby football ace Will Handley has made an impressive start to his season with the Doncaster Rovers youth academy.

The former South Kirkby Knights player, who signed a 12-month deal with Rovers this summer, has been a key cog in Doncaster’s under-9s team, who’ve made a 100 per cent winning start to their campaign, coming out on top in all matches.

The eight-year-old, who attends Stockingate Mill Junior School, shone in Rovers’ clash with their York City counterparts last time out, winning 7-4 with Will scoring a hat-trick.

The on-song goalscorer will be looking for more of the same when his Doncaster team visits Scunthorpe United this weekend.
