After parting company with Andy Hay earlier this week, Featherstone Rovers are set to unveil a new head coach today.
A club spokesman said: “We hope to make an official announcement on Thursday.”
Ex-Huddersfield Giants coach Jon Sharp is being linked with the job.
Former Hull FC and Featherstone player Sharp had a spell at Rovers in 2008 as a voluntary advisor to then caretaker coach Danny Evans.
Rovers will aim to bounce back from last weekend’s home defeat against Dewsbury Rams when they visit Leigh on Sunday.
They lost four times to Leigh last season and the Centurions have beaten them twice this year.
The last meeting between the sides was a stormy one at the Summer Bash in Blackpool.
Rovers prop Paul Wood was sent off and four other players were sin-binnned - three from Leigh - in a match the Centurions won 31-12.
Wood was handed a six-match suspension which he has now completed and he will be available to return in Sunday’s game at Leigh Sports Village.
Paul Cook, Gareth Moore and Thomas Minns are also set to return after missing the Dewsbury match.
Centre Minns, 20, who is on a season-long loan at Featherstone from Leeds Rhinos, has signed a three-year deal with Hull Kingston Rovers , starting from 2016.
