Spirited Castleford RUFC Girls are in seventh heaven against Cleckheaton

After dominating possession in the early exchanges they opened the scoring when Lacey Bramley made a darting run then popped up a lovely pass for Dina Santos to power over.
Millie Stocks and Daisy Davison combined well at the breakdown and Castleford soon added a second try as Darcy Pursglove won the ball and Niamh Young went on a strong run before offloading to Emily Tiffany who raced clear.

Hide AdA third was added when Kate Rowlinson raced clear to finish a good team move involving Pursglove and Davison.
Cleckheaton got on the scoreboard with their first try before Georgia Thorpe and the ever-elusive Olivia Stead combined to find Stocks who eluded two Cleckheaton defenders to score.
Castleford had minor setback in the second half when Alicja Kadziak was injured after working hard to prevent Cleckheaton from scoring. But she recovered after some treatment to return to the field.
Sereen Alkhaidi made some strong runs and Tiffany added her second try after great work from Lacey Bramley. Santos also scored her second after a great team effort seeing the ball pass through every player’s hands.

Santos was the players’ player with Davison the coach’schoice, closely followed by Pursglove.
