The incident occurred in the second half of the club's Challenge Cup defeat to Catalans Dragons meaning the 27-year-old will be absent for Trinity's trip to St Helens on Friday.

The match review panel also considered high tackle offences from Jacob Miller and Joe Westerman but issued no charges.

A shoulder charge from Tinirau Arona and a dangerous contact from Chris Green were also reviewed but no penalty notices were handed out.

Wakefield travel to St Helens without a win from their opening three games of the campaign.

They were beaten by Leeds Rhinos in their Super League opener before losing to Wigan Warriors in their second league outing.

The Cup defeat against the Dragons meant Trinity exited the competition at the hands of the French outfit for the second year running.
