A hat trick of tries by Tommy Saxton (pictured) was the highlight of Featherstone’s 36-18 win over Hunslet Hawks at Big Fellas Stadium on Sunday.

Although Championship pacesetters Rovers bagged a fourth successive win, their second-half performance was disappointing after they led 26-0 at half-time.

They missed nnumerous chances in the second period and Hunslet made the game look much closer than it was by scoring 14 points in the last five minutes.

It was also one of the few times in recent seasons that Featherstone’s goalkicking has let them down, with Liam Finn managing just one conversion from six kicks.

Tom Hodson, Kyle Briggs, Andy Ellis, Ben Kaye and Greg Worthington were Featherstone’s other try scorers.

Tom Bush, Liam Hood, Jim Watson and Lee Brickwood grabbed Hunslet’s tries.
