The kick-off for Featherstone’s Challenge Cup sixth round tie against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan on Sunday has been changed from 2.30pm to 7pm local time.

The change has been made following Featherstone’s consultations with Catalans Dragons, the RFL, broadcasting partners and travel partners.

Rovers chief executive Pat Cluskey said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused with this late change which unfortunately is out of our control.

“From a logistical point of view for the players and coaching staff and from a player welfare perspective, a kick off time on Sunday of 14.30 local time was not practical.

“Catalans Dragons have agreed to arrange and provide transport for supporters who are on the 21.45 flight to London Stansted.

“Catalans Dragons have also confirmed they will provide storage facilities for those with luggage.

“We appreciate this is far from ideal for supporters but when considering all options available to us, this kick off time was the only practical option.

“Having spoken to our travel partners, they have advised supporters to check-in for their flight online and there should be no problem if you arrive at the airport before 21.00 but Featherstone Rovers cannot guarantee this to be case.

“Once again, we would like to apologise to any supporters affected by this late change and wish supporters travelling to France a safe and enjoyable journey.”
