FRICKLEY Athletic will be involved in the draw for the early rounds of the FA Cup on Friday.
The draws will take place at midday and Frickley will enter the prestigious competition at the First Qualifying Round stage.
Blues boss Karl Rose knows the importance of a prolonged stay in the world-famous competition and he’s hoping for a favourable draw for his men.
“All you can ask for is a home game and hopefully we’ll get that,” he said.
“It’s the oldest cup competition in the world so you always want to do well in it as a player and as a manager but it’s also a nice money-spinner for any club.
“If you manage to progress through three rounds or so it’s a great financial boost for the club.”
The First Qualifying Round will take place on Saturday, September 8.
Friday’s draws will also see the FA Carlsberg Trophy draw take place.
The Blues will enter that competition at the First Qualifying Round stage and that game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 29.
The fixtures for the new Evo-Stik Premier League season are released on Friday, July 13.
Meanwhile, Frickley hope to continue their preparations for the new season by adding two more matches to their summer friendly line-up.
The club is currently in discussions with two teams and they hope to tie both up to fixtures by the end of this week.
