eatherstone Rovers have received backing from another local business.
North Featherstone’s Bradley Arms pub - a regular haunt for Rovers fans - is supportingthe club with an agreement that includes player sponsorship and perimeter advertising.
The pub, which has Featherstone Rovers memorabilia, is run by Robin and Tracey Sharp who have a long association with Rovers.
The pub’s proprietor Robin, who is also head of youth performance at Rovers, said: “We are delighted to enter into a partnership with Rovers. I feel there are exciting times ahead in and I think it’s important local businesses back the club to meet its ambitions of returning to Super League.
“Our tap room is full of Rovers memorabilia and in 2014 we aim to hold Rovers theme nights of memorable games played in our successful past history as well as regular re-runs of this coming seasons games. We will also be offering our customers incentives throughout the coming 2014 campaign to visit us.”
Robin and Tracey Sharp first became interested in the hospitality business after volunteering at Featherstone Rovers to help raise much needed funds for the Scholarship and raised thousands of pounds by establishing a dedicated bar at the Stadium for the Scholarship.
Tracey said: “Our pub has a long standing connection to Featherstone Rovers and this partnership strengthens this.”
Rovers commercial manager Paul Taylor said: “We have a growing portfolio of commercial partners and sponsors associated with Rovers ranging from multinational brands, major employers in the town and smaller businesses. We are delighted that Robin and Tracey have shown faith in the club and are supporting us in this way.
“They are enthusiastic supporters of the club and recognise the importance of local businesses supporting the club. I am sure our supporters will support the Bradley Arms throughout 2014 and I am looking forward to a celebratory pint there when we secure top flight rugby once again at Featherstone Rovers.”
