There were some fast times recorded at the Abbey Dash 10K road race, which as usual was one of the highest standard 10k races in the country.

It was also the 13th event in the Wakefield Harriers Senior Runners Distance League.

Mark Bostock was close to his best with the superb time of 30:42, topping the club rankings for 2022 and Daniel Franks was just three seconds off his personal best with his fast time of 31:43.

The Junior Jets were out in force, which was great to see, with no fewer than three teams in the U11 Boys race.

The 'A' team of Tommy Hastings, Sydney Swan and Cade McAndrew did exceptionally well to finish in sixth place and first team home from the Yorkshire clubs.

The 'B' team of Ethan Ford, Lochlan Ruddock and Oliver Smith were also well up, finishing tenth.
