Castleford Tigers have named their 19-man squad for Thursday’s final home game of the season when they take on St Helens at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

They have Michael Shenton back after injury and prop Will Maher has been promoted back into the squad, but will be without forward Nathan Massey and centre Jake Webster, who are injured.

Oliver Holmes has recovered from illness and will play, but Tigers, already without the suspended Justin Carney, have been hit by two further blows with Massey and Webster now ruled out for rest of the season.

Massey faces an operation on a broken schaphoid while Webster is out with nerve damage.

Head coach Daryl Powell knows this is a must-win for his team if they are to make the play-offs and said:

“It’s do or die for us, we have to win this game and I am hoping our performance reflects that.

“We have got the players to get the job done but it will be tough. If you want to be in the top four at the end of the season then you need to be on top of your game.”

Tickets can be bought at pre-game day prices until 5pm on Wednesday, instore from the Tigers Den and online at the Castleford website.
