Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell has been impressed with the way tonight’s opponents, Huddersfield Giants, have been able to turn round their season.

Ahead of the Betfred Super League clash with the in-form Giants at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle, Powell said: “Huddersfield have been looking good, they are organised and look like they are together as a team. Simon Woolford has done some good things.

“Squad-wise they are strong and pretty much have been able to put the same players out on the field on a consistent basis.

“They’ve got some confidence about them as well, I think they’ve won seven out of nine and it will be a challenge for us.

“They are defending with a lot of urgency and are a well organised side so it will be a tough game.”

On Huddersfield’s likely danger men, Powell added: “Brough is kicking the ball well and looks like he’s got a lot of energy about him at the moment.

“Gaskell’s a good player, his kicking game is good and he’s a tall, rangy runner who can cause you a lot of trouble.

“McGillvary is an outstanding winger and has been for a number of years. He’s an international player, as is Cudjoe on his inside.

“The pack is really hard working. They are getting after teams at the moment and coming out on top so there’s a challenge to our pack, but we’ve got an outstanding pack ourselves.”
