Daryl Powell has named his 19-man squad to travel to take on Catalans Dragons at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday (kick-off 5pm, GMT).

The squad shows two changes to the one that beat Warrington Wolves last Thursday night with hooker Paul McShane and forward Scott Wheeldon coming back in at the expense of Ryan Boyle and Michael Channing.

For the first time the Tigers will be paying a flying visit to Catalans, travelling there and back on game day.

Powell explained: “Usually with this trip Thursday gets taken up with travel and you have one session the day before, generally in pretty extreme heat.

“You try and keep the boys out of the sun but just walking around in it takes its toll.

“By going there and back in the same day obviously you have to get up a bit earlier, but I don’t see any reason why we can’t manage it.

“Coops (Ben Cooper) has spoken to the boys about how we are going to manage it throughout the week and how they can manage their sleep leading up to it, so I think we’ve prepared as well as we possibly can and training has gone great.

“We’ve got all the motivation we need leading into this one.”

The 19-man squad is:

5 Justin Carney, 12 Matt Cook, 1 Luke Dorn, 21 Liam Finn, 7 Luke Gale, 26 Ashley Gibson, 11 Oliver Holmes, 8 Andy Lynch, 13 Nathan Massey, 24 Mike McMeeken, 35 Paul McShane, 10 Grant Millington, 9 Adam Milner, 16 Junior Moors, 6 Ben Roberts, 4 Michael Shenton, 34 Gadwin Springer, 3 Jake Webster, 19 Scott Wheeldon.
