New signing Aaron Smith is set to make his Featherstone Rovers debut this weekend after being included in the King Street Solicitors 19-man Squad ahead of Sunday’s trip to Swinton (kick-off 1.30pm).
Smith, who if selected will wear the number 36 shirt, comes into contention alongside fellow newcomer James Thornton, as Leeds Rhinos loanees Jack Ormondroyd and Brad Dwyer make way.
Smith, 21, has arrived from Betfred Super League side St Helens on an initial one month loan deal and is a former England under- 8s international.
On his signing, Rovers boss John Duffy said: “We have been looking to strengthen the squad for a number of weeks and we are low on pivots at the moment.
“Aaron has spent some time with Hull KR this season and comes with a great reputation.
“He is a dynamic player with plenty of pace and will fit in very well here.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike Rush and Paul Wellens for allowing the deal to come together so quickly.”

Sunday’s fixture gets under way from 1.30pm at Heywood Road, the home of Sale RUFC.
