NEW West Yorkshire schools' champion Tom North has been named as a replacement for the unwell Greg Denton in Yorkshire's team against Lincolnshire on Saturday.

Denton and Matthew Lees (Woolley Park) had been called in to make their bows as part of six changes made by captain Darryl Berry to the Yorkshire line-up that beat Derbyshire 16-2 at Scarborough North Cliff last weekend.

However, Denton has had to pull out because of sickness and instead North will face Lincolnshire at Waltham Windmill GC on Saturday, when also coming into the side will be Ben Brewster (Bawtry), Matt Evans (Rotherham), Nick Poppleton (Wath) and Jamie Harrison (Rotherham).

The six looking to be involved in a second win in eight days for the Northern Counties champions will be Will Whiteoak (Shipley), Daniel Brown (Bedale), Bailey Gill (Lindrick), Martin Brown (Pike Hills), Luke Robinson (Hornsea) and Jack Lampkin (Ilkley).
