Castleford RUFC will host a disability sports and family day at their Willowbridge Lane ground this Saturday from 11am to 8pm. Entry is free and there will be various charity stalls.
The official opening is by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire at 11am.
It is Castleford RUFC’s second annual family day and part of the club’s commitment to offer sporting opportunities to all, irrespective of age, gender. experience, ability or capability.
There will be tug of war, an assault course, school sports and ‘join in’ sessions for cricket (with Yorkshire County Cricket), rugby, hockey and basketball before a turn up and play touch rugby tournament in the afternoon.
A music festival will start at 4pm.There will be live music and tribute acts, plus local bands and singers.
