White Rose Boxing Club will play host to a night of amateur boxing at its Lightwaves Leisure Centre base on Thursday.

Up to eight boxers from the Wakefield club are set to go toe-to-toe with top amateurs from across Yorkshire and beyond, with other inter-club bouts also lined up on the bill.

Some of White Rose’s blossoming young stars, including ABA Schoolboys champion Sam Clarke, will look to continue their rise in the sport.

Some more experienced fighters will be out to pack a punch too. Emmanuel Chinerrelu, who recently returned to the club following an eight-year break, is expected to be on the bill after winning his comeback fight against Hartlepool fighter Nick Wallace earlier this month.

Refreshments will be available throughout the night and there will be an interval midway through the bill.

Tickets for the action-packed night will be available on the door priced at £10 for unreserved seats. Doors open at 7pm and the boxing is expected to begin at 8.15pm.
