Unbeaten Division One leaders Flanagan’s Army eased to 73-46 win over G-Fivers in the first round of the league’s Knock-out Cup on Monday evening.

Cup holders Wanderers booked their second round place by defeating Leading Ladies 81-36.

Last season’s losing finnalists Railwaymen beat Golden Lion Dudes 63-53.

Unbeaten Division Two pacesetters Last Orders pulled off a thrilling 63-60 victory over Olde Taverners who are currently in third place in Division One.

Crofton WMC, who are second in Division Two, beat Division One team RAFA Vulcan Club 74-45.

There was a close finish in the all First Division clash at Featherstone Hotel Phoenix where The Upton Army ran out 55-50 winners.

In other first round ties, Kippax Ex-Service Club came out on top 55-15 against Little ‘Un and Plough Inn beat Rockin’ Gladiators 59-47.

The second round of the competition is on Monday, February 15.

The league programme resumes next Monday evening when Flanagan’s Army host Wanderers in a Division One top of the table fixture.

Flanagan’s have won their first 12 league mattches and are two points clear of closest rivals Wanderers.
