HEMSWORTH mixed martial arts (MMA) ace Scott Askham maintained his 100 per cent winning record as a professional in Liverpool at the weekend.
Askham needed just 24 seconds to win his bout against his London-based opponent at the Olympia MMA Championships in Merseyside.
It was his third win from as many bouts since turning professional and the 22-year-old is quickly making a name for himself on the MMA circuit.
“It’s gone really well since I turned pro,” he said.
“It’s probably exceeded my expectations with how well everything’s gone so far, especially because they’ve been knock-outs or technical knock-outs.”
The Hemsworth fighter needed just four seconds to win his last bout at the Barnsley Metrodome. It followed another quick victory in his debut in the ring as a pro.
And he’ll be returning to the same venue on Friday, October 7 to try and make it four professional wins from four.
Askham has yet to find out his opponent for the bout, but the Metrodome has proved a happy hunting ground for the Hemsworth ace, who’s won all of his fights as a professional and semi-professional at the venue. Ticket details for the event will follow.
The MMA ace has recently moved to Matrix MMA in Doncaster following his spell at Doncaster Martial Arts Centre.
And he will return to his hectic training schedule in a bid to continue his improvements in the ring as a pro.
Askham would like to thank his trio of sponsors for their support in helping him to success in mixed martial arts.
They are Millennium Motor Spares in Kinsley, The Injury Clinic and Hoyle Mill MOT Centre of Kinsley.
