FRICKLEY Athletic are on the look out for a new stadium sponsor for next season and beyond.
The Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit, who have won three out of three of their pre-season friendly matches, are also planning a new changing room block and function room at the club with the help of funding grants.
And club chairman Gareth Dando says it is exciting times at Westfield Lane.
“The new facilities are going to raise the profile of the club and therefore the profile of any potential sponsors,” he said.
“This sponsorship is the biggest exposure available,” he said.
The deal would involve the renaming of the club’s stadium with a company name.
“It will lead to publicity across the north,” Dando said.
“And hopefully there will be some national exposure if we have a good cup run.”
Frickley begin their season with a trip to Hednesford on August 18 (3pm).
And Dando says there is a real buzz around the camp.
“These are really exciting times at the club,” he said.
“The idea is to have the new facilites used by as many community groups as possible.
“It is the first development of this kind in the area for decades and it’s long overdue.”
The club will submit bids for grants to fund the £550,000 development in September and work will begin within 12-18 months of funding being approved.
