FRICKLEY Athletic’s reprieve from relegation has been all-but confirmed by the release of the Football League’s (FA) provisional leagues allocation for next season.

The Blues have been included in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division for next term in the FA’s proposed allocations for the 2012-13 season.

The allocations still have to be rubber-stamped at the league’s general meeting next month but the South Elmsall club looks set to avoid relegation.

Frickley had finished in the final relegation place but Northwich Victoria, who finished the season in second, were relegated one step to Division 1 South due to breaking league rules.

Joining the Blues in the Premier Division will be promoted sides AFC Fylde, Ilkeston, Grantham Town and Witton Albion, as well as relegated sides Blyth Spartans and Eastwood Town.
