Frickley Athletic have been given a boost while they battle through a hectic period of their season in the Evo-Stik Premier League with forward Danny South re-signing for the club.
The 22-year-old forward, who went straight into the squad for last Saturday’s game against Witton Albion, left the club at the end of November to join Ossett Albion, but moved to join Goole AFC after and subsequently Shaw Lane Aquaforce.
In his previous spells with the Blues South has scored 17 goals in 50 appearances (44 starts and six as substitute).
South is in contention to start this Saturday as Frickley travel to play Marine (kick-off 3pm). It is a massive game for Karl Rose’s men, who slipped into the bottom four following defeat last weekend and are now up against opponents third from bottom and eight points behind them.
The Blues are also in action next Tuesday when they are at home to Kings Lynn Town (7.45pm), who stand eight points and seven places ahead of them in the Premier.
