Manager Spencer Fearn is delighted that impressive youngster Teddy Bloor is now set to stay with Frickley Athletic until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old full-back or wide player is on loan from Mansfield Town and has proved a key player in the Blues’ revival this season following relegation in the Evo-Stik League.
Mansfield have agreed to extend his loan for the rest of the season, which gives Frickley a boost as they look to push on towards possible promotion at the first attempt from the First Division South.
Blues boss Fearn said: “Teddy has been a very important player for us and we are really pleased that we have him until the end of the season. He has a tremendous work rate and has chipped in with some very important assists and goals.
“A huge thank you again to Mike Whitlow and Richard Cooper at Mansfield Town for making this possible, it’s really appreciated by all at the club.”
Mansfield under 21s manager Mike Whitlow added: “We are really pleased with Teddy’s progress since he joined Frickley on loan.
“Teddy is really enjoying his time with Frickley, the staff and players have helped him settle in well and he feels part of the team.
“He is playing well and getting a great experience in an excellent environment created by the coaching staff.
“We are delighted that he will be staying with Frickley for the remainder of the season.”
