HEMSWORTH Miners Welfare’s FA Vase second round tie at Gateshead club Dunston UTS has been re-arranged for next Tuesday (7.45pm).
The tie was originally scheduled to be played last Saturday but was called off on the morning of the game because the pitch at the UTS Stadium was unfit.
Hemsworth’s request for the match to be played this Saturday was rejected.
It was initially re-arranged for last Tuesday evening, only to be postponed for a second time following further bad weather in the North East.
The winners of the Dunston-Hemsworth clash will have a home third-round match against Sunderland RCA on Saturday, December 3.
The 32 third round winners will each receive £975 from the FA’s prize fund while the losers take home £325.
Northern Counties East League Premier Division team Hemsworth are aiming to make club history by reaching the third round for the first time by beating Northern League Division One outfit Dunston who won the FA Vase in 2012.
