Goalkeeper signs for Brighouse Town from Hemsworth MW
Brighouse Town have signed goalkeeper Brett Souter from near neighbours Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Former Hemsworth skipper Souter, 24, previously had spells with Ossett Albion and United as well as Shaw Lane Aquaforce.
Brighouse manager Vill Powell said: “I think Brett’s ability and experience speaks for itself. He’s someone that’s been on my radar for a long time and finally it’s come together. He’s captained teams at this level so vocal abilities will be welcomed.”
Asked if the club will be making any further additions, Powell added: “At this point probably not as we don’t know where the season is heading. We needed a goalkeeper with Jacob [loanee Jacob Carney] going back to Manchester United to get games at Portadown so that was an essential signing.
"He’s [Brett] signed until 2022 so it’s not just for this season.”
