Frickley Athletic will line-up in the First Division North following relegation after the Evo-Stik League confirmed its plans for next season.
Underneath the Premier Division the Evo-Stik League splits into north and south divisions and the Westfield Lane side could have been in either depending on numbers.
They now know they will be in the North section, which throws up the prospect of several all Yorkshire games, including matches against Ossett Town, Ossett Albion and Tadcaster Albion.
Frickley manager Spencer Fearn said: “It’s a tough division that we’re in, out of the two First Divisions the North is by far the strongest, but we want to put a competitive side out.
“There’s some teams in this division spending a huge amount of money, as I’ve found out already when I spoke to a couple of players. But we are going to compete and hopefully get an exciting team.”
Frickley’s rivals in the First Division North in the 2017-18 season will be: Atherton Collieries, Bamber Bridge, Brighouse Town, Clitheroe, Colne, Colwyn Bay, Droylsden, Glossop North End, Hyde United, Kendal Town, Mossley, Ossett Albion, Ossett Town, Prescot Cables, Radcliffe Borough, Ramsbottom United, Scarborough Athletic, Skelmersdale United, South Shields, Tadcaster Albion, Trafford.
