Frickley dominated their first away friendly of pre-season as they thumped Goole 5-0 at Victoria Pleasure Grounds on Tuesday.

Luke Hinsley scored twice, with Korey Dyer-Stewart, Wes Milne and Ollie Fearon also on target as the visitors eased to a comfortable win.

Frickley started strongly, but had top wait until mid-way through the first half to open the scoring through Dyer-Stewart, who beat his man with ease before firing beyond the keeper.

Minutes later, Milne doubled the advantage with a finish from ten yards after Goole had failed to clear a corner.

The Blues almost added to their lead as Dyer-Stewart and Steve Gardner hit the woodwork, Frickley leading 2-0 going into the break.

Hinsley was one of five half-time substitutes, and put away Frickley’s third as he found the net with a thumping near post finish three minutes after his arrival.

Goole were given a ray of hope after they were awarded a penalty after Phil Oniama’s foul, but Blues keeper Jamie Green pulled off a fantastic save as the home side were left frustrated.

Fearon then made the win safe with an angled drive in the 74th minute, and Hinsley added a gloss to the scoreline as he drilled in from 15 yards.
