Frickley Athletic round off their successful regular season in the Evo-Stik South with their final two league games in the next three days.

Spencer Fearn’s men are in action away to Stocksbridge Park Steels tonight (7.45pm) before playing their final home league game against Sheffield FC on Saturday (3pm).

The Blues will be out to extend their 10-match unbeaten run, but whatever the results they are sure of a third place finish.

They still have a mathematical chance of pipping Alvechurch for second and an automatic promotion spot, but need to win both their matches while hoping their rivals lose both.

In all likelihood it is not the end of the season for Frickley this Saturday as they will go into play-offs with a place in the Evo-Stik Premier at stake.

They will face a home semi-final next week with their opponents to be determined after this Saturday’s results.

Frickley, meanwhile, will play their Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup semi-final away against Shaw Lane on Monday, May 7 (kick-off 7.45pm).
