After going 10 weeks without a home win in the Evo-Stik Premier League Frickley Athletic will be aiming to put the record straight in a potential relegation six-pointer with Ilkeston FC this Saturday.

Lee Morris’s men have improved their away record, which was initially poor this season, but have suddenly found it hard to pick up points at Westfield Lane with another defeat there against Warrington Town last weekend.

Their last home win in the league came against Marine on September 24. That was the third of a hat-trick of wins inside eight days at the ground, but strangely since then the Blues have lost to Barwell, Coalville Town, Nantwich Town and Warrington and drawn with Buxton. They also lost a cup game to Tadcaster Albion, but did beat lower league Denaby Main in the county cup.

Now they face an Ilkeston team who are one place below them in the table, fourth from bottom, with two fewer points, but four games in hand. New signing Julian Lawrence is likely to keep his place after impressing on his debut.
