After winning their first Evo-Stik Premier League game of the season on Tuesday night Frickley Athletic are looking to climb the table further when they face a Bank Holiday double-header.
They are away to Ramsbottom United on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) and will be out for a first win on their travels as their hosts were at the bottom of the table after the weekend matches with three defeats from their first three matches, including 4-1 and 1-0 losses at home to Hyde United and Buxton respectively.
The Blues are back at home on Monday when Whitby Town are the visitors to the SW Jackson Utilities Stadium for a game kicking off at 3pm.
Frickley drew both games with the seasiders 1-1 last season, but Town have lost both their away games so far this term at Matlock Town and Blyth Spartans. They did beat Stourbridge 4-0 at home on the opening of the season, however, so have shown they are a capable team.
Frickley boss Rose is still trying to work out his most effective line-up after a number of changes of personnel in the summer.
He appears to have a strong centre-back partnership in John Cyrus and Jameel Ible and will want to keep these two fit to give his side a solid foundation.
In midfield former Leeds United Academy player Simon Lenighan is settling in alongside Luke Hornsey and Luke Hinsley, who has been dropped back from the forward role he previously occupied.
Up front it has been more fluid with new boys Zeph Thomas, Royale Johnson, Jacob Hazel, Tyler Williams and the returning Chris Wood all given game time in a bid to find an effective strikeforce.
Frickley have been drawn away to North West Counties Premier side 1874 Northwich or Maltby Main, from the Northern Counties East Premier, in the Emirates FA Cup first qualifying round. The tie will take place on Saturday, September 12, kick-off 3pm.
The two sides play each other at Northwich this Saturday.
