After getting back to winning ways with their 4-0 success against Millmoor Juniors in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior Cup Frickley Athletic now get back to business in the Evo-Stik Premier League.

The Blues are looking to climb back up the table after slipping down into mid-division in recent weeks when they are home to Marine this Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Karl Rose’s men go into the game in 13th place, but they are five places above Marine and three points better off.

Marine have only been beaten once in six away league games so far this season, however, so Frickley will have to be close to their best to collect the points.

The Blues are also in league action next Tuesday away to Mickleover Sports, looking to do the double over them after beating them 2-0 in the home match in August when Luke Hinsley and Royale Johnson scored.

Frickley boss Rose, meanwhile, has strengthened his squad with two more additions.

Winger Dominic Rowe joined from Scarborough Athletic to add to the Blues’ options in wide positions.

The 22-year-old joined Scarborough in the summer having previously spent two seasons at Harrogate Town. He started his career at Bradford City where he also has a loan spell at Barrow.

Left-back Scott Matthews has also joined from Belper Town and went straight into the Athletic team at Skelmersdale last Saturday.

The 22-year-old was originally a member of the youth team at Scunthorpe United before being released. He then joined Brigg Town before having spells at Grantham Town, Lincoln United and Goole before joining Belper in January 2015.
