Frickley Athletic are aiming to make it three home league wins on the spin on Saturday, but face a tough task when they host Workington (kick-off 3pm).
Having beaten mid-table Sutton Coldfield Town and second from bottom Stamford last Saturday – both by 3-1 margins – in their last two Evo-Stik Premier League games at the SW Jackson Utilities Stadium the Blues have turned round poor form on home soil.
But now they face a bigger test against opponents who are currently in fifth place despite losing their unbeaten home record in going down 4-1 to FA Cup giantkillers Salford City last Saturday .
Blues manager Karl Rose, meanwhile, has signed striker Jimmy Eyles on a month’s loan from Shaw Lane Aquaforce.
The 23-year-old will stay at the SW Jackson Utilities Stadium until December 12 and went straight into the team for the Stamford game, but could not play in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup tie against Phoenix on Wednesday night.
