BARNSLEY boss Keith Hill was very much of the opinion that his team’s 1-1 npower Championship draw at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday was “a point gained” after a stuttering performance at Oakwell.
Craig Davies’ superb strike with 10 minutes remaining rescued a point for the Tykes after Garath McCleary had fired Forest ahead on 33 minutes.
Struggling Forest, looking for their third straight win, bossed the first period while the Reds suffered from a “lack of self-belief” according to Hill.
Barnsley’s improved second-half display was rewarded with the equaliser but they still needed a fine save from Luke Steele to deny Greg Cunningham a late winner for the visitors.
