FRICKLEY Athletic suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at Chorley in the Evo-Stik Premier Division on Saturday.

Blues bos Karl Rose predicted the Lancashire side would be out for revenge after his men knocked them out of the FA Cup last month and he was right on the money.

Gavin Allott had fired the visitors into an eighth-minute lead but Porya Ahmadi levelled for the hosts just before the half-hour mark and it was one-way traffic in the second half.

Dale Whitham gave Chorley the lead for the first time in the match two minutes after the restart and Ahmadi doubled his tally from the penalty spot soon after.

Ahmadi completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute before Ciaran Kilheeney completed the rout with eight minutes to go.
