Featherstone Rovers will host the Women’s Rugby League Association’s Challenge Cup and plate competition finals at the Big Fellas Stadium on Easter Sunday.
Featherstone player Garreth Carvell will present the cup and trophies to the competing players at both finals.
The plate final kicks off at noon and features Fryston Ladies against Whitworth Ladies.
York Ladies play Oulton Raidettes in the Challenge Cup final at 2pm.
WRLA chairman Steve Manning said: “WRLA have had a delightful last ten days with the news that Rhino Rugby League are providing match balls for our finals.
“The same thanks go out to Garreth Carvell who after initial contact via twitter said it would be a pleasure to present the cups and trophies to the players.
“It is another example of players both present and past giving something back to this great game of ours and a boost and extra exposure for the women’s game, which receives little compared to other women’s sports.
“We are playing our finals at a fantastic facility the Big Fellas Stadium and will be the first amateur rugby league final to be played at the ground since rugby league this season. It was good last year and it is even better now. A big thank you to the club for allowing us to stage our finals here.
“All we need now is for supporters to turn up in numbers to support the clubs and players on Easter Sunday both new and old and from all clubs whether it be women’s or men’s clubs in the amateur game or professional game as there will be little or no games being played on Easter Sunday.
“For any newcomer they will be surprised to see the skill, toughness and level of rugby league on show with all the players giving their all on the day to claim both trophies.”
