Featherstone maintained their 100 per cent record this season by running in eight tries in Sunday’s 45-18 win at Whitehaven.
Daryl Powell’s men, who are odds on favourites to lift the League Leaders’ Shield for the fourth year running, regained top spot from Halifax with their fifth straight win.
Rovers are one point clear of Halifax and have a chance to move further ahead when they host strugglers Keighley at Big Fellas Stadium on Thursday evening.
Ian Hardman bagged two tries and Andy Kain scored his 100th try for the club as Featherstone outplayed Whitehaven.
The visitors were 22-0 up after just 20 minutes.
Whitehaven hit back to cut the half-time gap to 22-12 but they finished well beaten as Rovers stepped on the gas again in the second-half.
Featherstone’s other try scorers were Kyle Briggs, Tommy Saxton, Matt James, Greg Worthington and skipper Liam Finn who also kicked seven goals, including a drop goal, to stretch his Rovers scoring run to 51 consecutive games.
