Castleford Tigers have announced that the club’s main shirt sponsor for the 2014 Super League season will be CBR Engineering.
CBR has sponsored the Tigers for the past six seasons and made their first appearance on the Tigers kit in 2010 when their logo featured on the playing socks. They were shorts sponsors the following season while last season they appeared on the chests of the playing shirts.
The engineering company will now take pride of place as the main sponsor of the famous Cas shirt as Daryl Powell’s men take to the field next season.
Announcing the deal, Tigers’ commercial director Mark Grattan said: “CBR are key partners of ours as we look to progress over the next 12 months and we’re thrilled that they have chosen to commit themselves in an even greater capacity next season.
“We’ve worked very closely with CBR for a number of years and the partnership has always proved mutually beneficial. We’ve had a good relationship with co-owners Steve Vause (managing director of CBR) and Ian Allatt (technical director) and we became closer than ever before when Steve joined the club’s board of directors in April.
“We are sure that this new deal will continue to bring great benefits for both parties.”
Based on Albion Street in Castleford, CBR Engineering is a versatile engineering company that provides a manufacturing service to the power, desalination, petro-chemical and mining industries in the UK and across the world. They will replace Help-Link Ltd, whose partnership with the Tigers began last season.
Steve Vause, CBR Engineering’s managing director, added: “As a firm fixture of Castleford for many years, we’ve always been very proud to have our business associated with Castleford Tigers and that feeling will grow even more when we see our logo on the front of the Tigers’ shirts throughout next season.
“As managing director of CBR and a director at Castleford Tigers, I understand the core values and aims of both companies and I can see clearly that we are a perfect fit as we both aim to move forward and grow together.
“We’re very excited to work on a number of projects for the club in what will be an important year.”
