STUART Ludlam scored an injury-time winner as Frickley Athletic came from behind to cause an FA Cup upset at Harrogate Town in the second qualifying round replay last night.

Lee Elam had given the Blue Square Bet North hosts a 54th-minute lead before a Will Turl own goal levelled matters on 73 minutes and Ludlam popped up in stoppage time to steer the Blues into the next round.

Peter Rinkcavage’s men, who are now six games unbeaten in all competitions, will now face Gainsborough Trinity, who needed extra time to beat AFC Fylde 2-1 in a replay last night, in the third qualifying round, which will take place on Saturday, October 15.

As well as moving to within two wins of the first round proper, where Football League clubs enter the competition, the Tech5 Stadium club will also receive around £4,500 in prize money for last night’s win.
