IT’S set to be one in and one out at Frickley Athletic before Saturday’s trip to Blyth Spartans.

Blues boss Karl Rose has revealed that centre-back Tom Johnston is set to move to Bottesford Town.

But he has a ready-made replacement set to come in and fill the gap in the shape of Luke Danville.

Johnston arrived at Westfield Lane this season but told Rose that he wouldn’t be available for Tuesday’s win over Eastwood just hours before kick-off, owing to his move to Bottesford.

“I’d have liked to keep him but he phone me on Tuesday saying he wasn’t available for the match,” he said.

“He’s been inconsistent for us which has been frustrating but it looks as though he’s moved to Bottesford.”

The Blues are awaiting international clearance to sign Danville, who’s been playing in Ireland for Dundalk, but Frickley hope to have him available for the weekend.

He’s a former Wakefield FC player who plays centre-back.
