FRICKLEY Athletic ended a run of eight league games without a win on Saturday when they beat Chorley 2-1 at the Tech5 Stadium.
The Blues went into the game boosted by a 1-0 cup win at Matlock Town in midweek but they needed two goals in the last 15 minutes to turn the game in their favour.
Ben Turner’s own goal just before half-time gave the visitors the lead.
Peter Rinkcavage’s men looked to be heading for another Evo-Stik Premier Division defeat until 15 minutes from time when Stuart Ludlam levelled matters.
James Ashmore then hit the winner in the 80th minute from the penalty spot to give the South Elmsall side a crucial three points.
