FRICKLEY Athletic will look to put their league worries behind them tonight and book a place in the final of the Sheffield Senior Cup.

The Blues are battling against relegation from the Evo-Stik Premier Division but turn their attentions to a cup semi-final game at home against Sheffield FC tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

Peter Rinkcavage’s men have already missed out on a place in one cup final in recent weeks when Rushall Olympic beat them in extra-time in the semi-final of the Doodson Sport Cup.

And, as well as the potential prize of playing at Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough stadium in the final, Rinkcavage will hope a good performance from his men in the last-four clash can spur them to league safety.

The Blues go into the game on the back of four defeats but fresh from a weekend without competitive action.

In contrast, Sheffield, who play in Division 1 South, have lost just one of their level eleven matches and are pushing for promotion to either join or replace Frickley in the Premier Division next term.
