FRICKLEY Athletic will look to bounce back from their first defeat in seven games when they host FC United of Manchester in the Evo-Stik Premier Division tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

Peter Rinkcavage’s men lost 1-0 at high-flying Hednesford Town on Saturday - bringing an impressive six game unbeaten run to an end.

The Blues will look to get back on the horse at the Tech5 Stadium tonight against a United side sure to bring with them a big band of supporters to bolster the South Elmsall crowd.

It’s the first of two home matches against FC United in the space of eleven days - the sides also face each other at the Tech5 Stadium in the FA Trophy first qualifying round on Saturday, October 22.

And Rinkcavage and his troops would love a victory to take into Saturday’s big FA Cup third qualifying round clash at Gainsborough Trinity.

The club is putting on a free coach for Frickley fans to make the trip to Gainsborough this weekend as a goodwill gesture.

The coach will leave from the Barnsley Oak at 1pm and seats can be booked by contacting Steve Shorthouse on 07545 549191.

Meanwhile, defender James Kay has left the club to join Evo-Stik Division 1 South side Sheffield FC.
