Wakefield roads closed over 'safety concerns' at CAPA College site

Wakefield Council said that Cliff Lane and Back Lane had been closed as a "precautionary measure" after concerns were raised about debris on the site of nearby CAPA College.
The performing arts college, on Mulberry Way, close to Wakefield Westgate station, will offer state-of-the-art facilities to 500 students, and was expected to open later this year.

It comes as passersby reported seeing pieces of the building being blown around during high winds caused by Storm Dennis.
One eyewitness reported seeing "bits hanging off" the building's frame earlier this morning.

"As a precautionary measure, both Cliff Lane (the road along the bottom entrance to Wakefield One) and Back Lane have been closed."
