CREATIVE pupils have been singing from the rooftops after being awarded two top awards for their artistic talents.
The youngsters from Northfield Primary School, in South Kirkby were given the prestigious Sing Up Gold award and the Artsmark stamp of approval - both within the past six weeks.
For the singing award, youngsters had to put on performances and stretch their vocal cords every day.
And for the art award, children had to create various pieces of art work, including clay sculptures.
Artsmark awards are given to schools which offer opportunities for children to develop in areas such as art and design, music, drama, dance and creative writing.
The national scheme is run by Arts Council England.
Teacher Nicola Lawrence said the children loved the chance to be creative.
She said: “These awards are fantastic as it gives children the chance to shine in other areas of school other than purely academic.
“They have thoroughly enjoyed being part of a team and the different ways of approaching art.”
