Seafood lovers have been caught by a fishy business scam hook, line and sinker.

Door-step salesman have been offering what they claim is cut-price Halibut, Monk Fish and Sea Bass.

But when the customers open the boxes they have found cheaper varieties of fish.

West Yorkshire Trading Standards has warned people to be on their guard.

Coun Clive Hudson, of the West Yorkshire Trading Standards Committee, said: “Officers from Trading Standards are very keen to hear from anyone who thinks they may have been victim to this or any similar scam.”
