TWO South Kirkby neighbours have decked their walls with boughs of holly - and reindeers, snowmen, stars, bells and Christmas trees.
Keith Sharp, 55, and Scott Bartrop, 25, both of Park Estate, have adorned their adjoining homes with numerous shining and flashing lights and signs.
Mr Sharp has been decorating the outside of the building with spectacular Christmas lights since he moved there in 2000, much to the delight of local children.
The Bartrop house has also been glammed up for more than a decade, although it was Scott’s mum, Becky, who previously carried out all the work.
Mr Sharp said: “I saw homes that were all covered in lights and decided I wanted to do it as well.
“It has got bigger and better every year since - I just keep buying more lights and decorations in the sales.
“I did it for my kids and now for my grandchildren but all the kids in the street love seeing the lights. They know what I am doing as soon as I start putting them up.
“I see people taking pictures of it all the time and when I put it on YouTube last year I got hundreds of hits. People just love seeing it.”
