Local author Tracy Batty visited South Elmsall Library on Monday to talk about her work.
Mrs Batty, who was born in South Elmsall, spoke about the inspiration behind her second novel, Above and Below the Clouds, and about how she got into writing. She then sold and signed copies of her book.

It was the second time Mrs Batty had visited the library as she also gave a talk about her first book, Steel to Muck, last year.
Marcia Adey, customer service supervisor, said: “We had quite a few people turn up and many of them have already read Tracy’s book so they were interested to hear where her ideas came from.

She said she wasn’t bothered how may copies she sold, she just wanted to talk to people and hear what they thought of the story, which was really lovely. Everyone who came gave good feedback.”
