SLIDESHOW: Relive the Wakefield Hospice 10k
There was a record turn out for the Wakefield 10k run and 1k mini-run as more than 1,800 people took part in aid of the facility.
Outwood and Morley parliamentary candidate for Labour Ed Balls started the event on Lawefield Lane before taking part in the race himself.

Hide AdBen Marriott, of Bingley Harriers, was the first competitor to cross the finish line.
He said: “I’m chuffed to bits to win. It was a good run but difficult to get going at first.
“The last 1k was really tough but the support from the crowd was absolutely brilliant.”
