South Kirkby youngsters were given a chance to teach children from nearby schools when they organised a global learning workshop.
The children, from Stockingate Mill Primary School, planned the workshop, made a powerpoint presentation and decided what activities they wanted to do during the afternoon.
They then taught the other children, from pyramid schools across SESKU, about the importance of recycling and looking after the environment before everyone made their own superheroes from recycled materials.
Christine Britton, global learning co-ordinator, said: “It was a brilliant afternoon. Our pupils from Stockingate planned the workshop themselves.
“They also planned a practical element into the project with the recycled superheroes activity.”
